Platinum announces Twins

MIMAKIS

Platinum are pleased to announce the arrival of a twin…

Although non-Identical, we now have a second Mimaki wide format printer, this time a CJV30. Our existing JV33 was running extremely well although largely at capacity (nice problem to have !) – it’s newly commissioned twin was up and running in a day and comes complete with in-line pattern cutting and roll to roll feeding – automation on these machines is helping to create almost 24hr a day production.

Production Director Mark Plummer explains the company’s decision on it’s latest purchase: “The consistency and reliability of Mimaki along with their fantastic range of products and support made this an easy choice for Platinum – the fact it was installed and producing live work within a day confirms it was the right decision for our current set up”.

The installation of this second machine is a strong indication of the further investment that Platinum continues to make as it moves forward into expanding digital markets and increase its portfolio of work and blue chip clients.

Managing director David Wyvill said he had been looking to boost the £2.8m turnover firm’s digital capabilities for 12 months, with the company beginning its search at last year’s Ipex.

“We’ve looked at everything from the Indigos and Nexpresses and Igens, but out shortlist was whittled down to the Ricoh, Canon imagePress and Konica Minolta Bizhub Pro. Continue Reading →
