Platinum are pleased to announce the arrival of our new state-of-the-art online proofing and artwork submission system.
Production Director, Mark Plummer said “we are very excited to launch the new system. It opens up a vast array of possibilities for Platinum and its client base and once again enforces our commitment to new technology.”
The remote technology will also help us improve our operational efficiency, speeding up job hand-off, review, correction and therefore final turn-around times.
The new system allows clients to upload files securely and quickly, these are pre-flight checked for any potential errors, proof creation is then automatic with email notification to the client. These are then reviewed online; allowing annotation, replacement file upload and live approval meaning all clients receive real-time notification of the job status.
We plan to roll out this new system to a select number of clients, inviting feedback and then rolling out to our full client base.
In detail
Features include online job submission via a web portal, where users can upload production jobs as single or multiple files.
Pre-flighting commences as soon as the files are received, and the client can view a detailed pre-flight report and a production-ready version of the job.
Any errors listed in the pre-flight report can be corrected by the originator if necessary for re-submission and new versions uploaded.
Remote is a print production tool that allows our clients to view the final RIP pages for approval – what you see is exactly what you get in a final printed product GUARANTEED, as the proofs having been through the entire production workflow showing the user all rip, trap and conversions that may have occurred. Annotation tools are provided in the web portal window.
Multiple reviewers can comment on jobs and see other comments, enabling comparisons of the latest and previous revisions for confirmation of changes, with the option to automate the notification of approval status and set reminders by email.
Once a job is approved, Remote can be configured to directly notify our pre-press department or to automatically add the job to the appropriate queue for hardcopy proofing or final output.
