NEW WEBSITE: poplarseating.co.uk Online

December 21st, 2009

Poplar Products from Leeds approached us with a simple and concise brief. The end result being a simple and functional website which has now brought the company’s online presence inline with their existing corporate identity that would stand out from their competitors.

The aim of the new site was to give visitors and new prospects the ability to view the full range of seating solution broken down into smaller, functional groups. Information relating to the individual products was thought to confuse matters, as Poplar believe their product range sells itself by the use of high class professional photography.

Simple navigation and clean user interface aid the visitor around the site with clear calls to action where they are needed.

Consumables with a conscience

Vegetable oil based printing inks

Quite an interesting article. It is good to note we at Platinum have been using vegetable oil based inks for a number of years now, but we firmly believe there is much more to being green than by just buying an environmentally sustainable product. You must also look at the entire production process.

“Although ink is extremely important, in terms of our production, it is a small but very important part of our processes. Our careful monitoring of key elements, such printing press settings and machine maintenance can play a big part in the quantities used.” Mark Plummer, Production Director. Read more…

NEW WEBSITE: smithstherink.co.uk Online

July 1st, 2009

As an existing  customer of Platinum, Smiths the Rink came to us, with the aim to update their online presence. They were looking for a total re-design of their existing site with the aim to make the user experience more engaging.

Part of this redesign was also to make the site ‘search engine friendly’. The content was to stay much the same, with a few additions, to make the site more informative and user friendly. With this in mind, we produced a site that is now clean, crisp and easy to navigate.

The redesign has had a dramatic effect on their search engine positioning, and has now had the effect of giving them first page positioning on Google for their brand-specific search words and phrases.

March 27th, 2009

ackrill-business-awards-harrogate

Platinum wins The Green Business Award at the Ackrill Media Group Business Awards, Harrogate 2009

We are delighted to once again announce the recognition of our success in minimising waste and promoting responsible environmental practice. On the 26th March we attended the annual Ackrill Media Group Business Awards and celebrated success winning the Think Green Award.

This comes hot on the heels of our prior success in the York Press Think Green Business of the Year Awards back in November. It really backs up the hard work and commitment shown by every employee to ensure we continue to maintain our status as a truly environmentally aware company, reducing our impact on the environment and promoting this awareness to all our clients so that we can all benefit from reduced waste and expenditure.

NEW WEBSITE: Clearlyautomated.co.uk Online

March 19th, 2009

www.clearlyautomated.co.uk

Clearly Automated approached us with an exciting new project, to rebrand their existing corporate identity and give them an online presence that would stand out from their competitors. Starting with the company logo and stationery we produced a stylish yet simple design which truly represents Clearly Automated services and products.

With these building blocks and one or two meetings later, we moved onto to the design and development of the Clearly Automated website. Opting for a darker palette and with a lot of content to these guys had ‘clearly’ set us a challenge, which we and the client feel was executed in the best possible way.
