We have recently installed a new Grutzmacher mail processing machine, adding a further dimension to the mailing division at Platinum and enabling an even speedier service to customers. Running at full capacity, the Grutzmacher can insert over 1,000,000 envelopes a month and operates at three times the speed of a standard inserter.

Managing director, David Wyvill comments, ’In a very tough year for the printing industry as a whole, we increased our turnover in 2009/10 by 15% and this has provided a platform to build our business even further in 2011. Further investments are planned for later this year. I am very proud of our team for continuing to drive our business forward.’

To complement the machine we have increased the workforce also over the past six months employing new team members Teddy, Craig, Neil and Trevor.

Neil and Craig have joined the print finishing and mailing division and Trevor joins the Platinum delivery team.

Teddy is the latest recruit in the large format area which has been one of Platinum’s major success stories in 2010.
